The Pest Control world for inPEST

Distribution of inPEST products in Italy takes place in a dynamic regulatory context that will bring deep changes to our sector. The most substantial changes will involve the biocide regulation directive, the new european laws on the professionalization of the sector and the regulation of waste management.

Potential custmoers in the professional pest control sector are approximately 800, of these about 200 are associated to A.n.i.d. (the Italian national pest control association), which provides training and constant updates.

It should be mentioned that 18 distributor companies are associated to A.n.i.d. among which GEA Srl.

It is worth to point out that with "pest control company" we intend only those companies whose core-business is only pest control services. All cleaning companies and others are excluded. This is the main customer for GEA and it is considered a "strategic" customer because it is able to understand the philosophy that underlie our products and get the most out of them (HACCP, Audit, monitoring, EN 16636).

In the mid term A.n.i.d. is also working to promote a training program to guarantee that only real professional pest controllers will be recognized as the only ones allowed to perform pest control operations (public and private). The pest control operator will be formed  by recognized government agencies, and, at the end of the training course will obtain a licence. The licence will certify that the P.C.O. is trained to use specific products to obtain maximum efficacy whilst safeguarding the environment.

In all sectors, professionals are seen as the only way to avoid economic waste, environmental contamination and mostly damages to the consumer's health. This is the philosophy behind the inputs that come from the European community.
